Meet the Creator & Illustrator

I was born in Guyana, a small country in South America, where Spanish conquistadors thought El Dorado, the Lost City of Gold, was located.

Growing up in a place that was the beacon for many explorers for hundreds of years, I dreamed of adventure and exploring the world.

Moving to the U.S. gave me the opportunity to meet many diverse people. Later, my career and love of travel took me to amazing places around the world. I learned from my travels that people are more similar than they are different.

Happy travels!

The Idea

As a parent, I've instill the same love for travel, adventure, and appreciation for other cultures in my son.

Teaching compassion and inclusivity to kids has never been more important than today. This is how the idea for Explore By Mail was born!

My son and I wanted to share our adventures with other familes; so, they can also learn about the diverse world we live in.

Meet an Explorer

I'm one of the explorers here at Explore By Mail. As the lead explorer, I help choose our destinations and plan our expeditions.

I'm SUPER curious about the world! I love to discover new places, learn about new cultures, and try new yummy foods.

I hope to see you on our next adventurer!

The Process

Our beautiful letters, maps and activities are created to foster interest in geography, history, and culture and to improve literacy.

Each map and letter start off as hand-illustrated original work of art. Then, the content is throughly researched to ensure accuracy and added to maps, letters, and artifacts.

The maps, letters and artifacts are then made into prints made from high quality paper; so, they can remain collectible keepsakes.
